Rabobank Group is a Dutch based full-range financial services provider founded on cooperative principles. Rabobank is a global leader in Food and Agri financing and in sustainability-oriented banking. The Group comprises 153 independent local Dutch Rabobanks, a central organization (Rabobank Nederland), and a large number of specialized international offices and subsidiaries. Why did Rabobank select CXO-Cockpit?
One very important goal of the Rabobank Group Control department is to deliver consistent and reliable financial information at high speed to a global finance community. “To make that goal reality, we were searching for a tool that could help us distribute our key financial results out of Hyperion Enterprise into a web-based financial portal”, says René Witlox, Control and Risk information Manager at Rabobank Group. 

“People who are familiar with Hyperion Enterprise know it is a great and reliable tool to consolidate and report figures”, continues René Witlox. “However, web-based analytical reporting has unfortunately never been a key strength of Hyperion Enterprise”. “We had the option to either build our own web-based solution from scratch or to go with a company that could provide us with pre-built solution”. “We chose to go with the latter and decided it was easier and cheaper to implement the CXO-Cockpit”, says René Witlox.

Implementing CXO-Cockpit
Because the CXO-Cockpit is built specifically for Hyperion Enterprise the Rabobank could shorten the delivery time of their portal solution considerably. “With the Hyperion Enterprise Connector of the CXO-Cockpit, the mapping of the Enterprise application to the CXO-Cockpit was done very rapidly”, says René Witlox. The bulk of the work was fine tuning the CXO-Cockpit and integrating it into our portal, but we were happy with the progression we were making.

“The integration of the CXO-Cockpit with the Rabobank Portal was actually the most work, because we do not provide that specific functionality as standard within our product” says Wouter Born of CXO Solutions. “But it was very interesting to provide the integration between our native front-end and the Financial Portal for the Rabobank”. “Furthermore, we have integrated two existing Rabobank Hyperion Enterprise applications into one CXO-Cockpit in the same project as well”, says Wouter Born.
